Police have arrested a door-to-door magazine salesman accused of raping an elderly Grand Prairie, TX woman and then setting setting her on fire. The 78-year-old victim was assaulted Monday at home, doused with rubbing alcohol and set on fire. Brimmer said the woman was hospitalized Wednesday with second-degree burns. A man has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly dousing his 77-year-old former landlord with gasoline and lighting him on fire early Tuesday in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood. Donald Hardy, 28, of the 800 block of East 65th Street, was charged Friday afternoon with attempted first-degree murder, according to police News Affairs.  More information here.
